Maintenance

We use only quality paints for bottom painting such as Interlux, Pettit, Sea Hawk and others.
J Gordon & Co can roll, roll and tip (for club racing) or spray on (for racing) most bottom paints.

We clean and wax, or, if necessary, compound and wax using only the best cleaners and waxes. We offer Collinite wax to ensure a long lasting shine on your boat.

Whether it is a Bristol finish with ultra high gloss or Cetol, we are experienced in all types of wood finish. When replacing woodwork we stain the wood to match the existing wood finish. We use many brands of finish depending on the boat and whatever is warranted to make the job just right.

We have staff that can detail interiors to ensure you come to a spotless boat. We will do as much or as little cleaning as you would like.
When you are ready to open your boat in the spring, give us a call and we can have your yacht bright and clean for the coming season.

We have staff that can take care of most engine maintenance items. We also inspect and replace old hoses, stuffing boxes, and shaft cutlass bearings, do oil and filter changes. We do rust removal, painting and alignment of shafts.

Have us check your mechanical or hydraulic steering systems to keep a straight course during the boating season. J Gordon & Co repairs and rebuilds most steering systems such as Teleflex and Hynautic. We rebuild hydraulic steering pumps and rams, flush systems, install hydraulic pumps for autopilots, align rudders, repack rudder stuffing boxes and replace rudder bearings. In addition to hydraulic steering we also maintain and install Edson systems. We have converted numerous tiller steering boats to wheel steering.
